Celebrating National #CoffeeMonth with Keurig

For those unaware, September 29th is National Coffee Day (I’m checking to see if it’s recognized as a statutory holiday because there is no day of greater importance to us as a society). When my friends at Keurig reached out to me, they told me that they’ve decided (and I’m completely on board with this) to extend the celebration by dedicating an entire month to the thing that keeps us all from falling apart. I mean, hello? My body is 40% water, 10% sarcasm, and a good 50% caffeine. This celebration was made for me.

3 Ingredient Pina Colada Smoothie by Jordan D'Amico

I’m not going to sit here and tell you that smoothies like this 3-Ingredient Piña Colada Smoothie are a regular part of my diet and that each morning I wake up, blend together some green stuff, some yellow stuff, etc. with some almond milk and feel the nutrients rush through me like a burst dam. The simplicity of a Saturday morning with Keurig
Don’t you ever keep me apart from coffee, especially if we’re interacting before 10am on any given day. I used to be the person who relied entirely on Starbucks and other coffee shops to get my morning fix. Then, when I moved to Toronto, the one thing I wanted for a housewarming gift was a Keurig Single Serve Coffee Maker. Not only did I fantasize about all the times I’d probably be curled up with a massive blanket sipping my “cup of joe,” but the convenience of a single serving at a time was too perfect to pass up.

Find satisfaction in your “cooking abilities” by throwing together this easy 4 ingredient smoothie that’s not only delicious, but probably also nutritious (someone fact check that, please).

Easy 4 Ingredient Tropical Smoothie

I may take photos of absolutely everything I eat, but please don’t let the illusion of Instagram or my desire to keep my aesthetic strong because I am not a fan of cooking. Of course, I love to eat and, yes, there are moments when I’m in the kitchen thinking I’m the next Mario Batalli, sautéing and what have you. Most of the time, however, what goes on behind-the-scenes is a frustrated, hangry me, desperate to eat, too tired to cook, and eyeing that jar of peanut butter like I’m a thirsty camel and it’s my desert oasis.
