As a blogger, there’s no greater asset than quality photography. Sure, we’d all love to own the latest Canon camera, outfitted with the most expensive equipment and fill our blogs and Instagram accounts with gorgeous photos, but let’s be real – that isn’t an option for all of us. So, in lieu of those advantages, there are websites we can turn to that provide bloggers like you and I with free, professional photography that we can use almost entirely how we want.
Travelling is something meant to be enjoyed and not feared. Being prepared with some well-researched travel tips is a great way to take the stress out of the journey. Whether you’re travelling to London, Paris, Hong Kong or beyond, these 5 items are something every avid traveller should have in their bag.
A Good Book
Any seasoned traveller is used to long lines, delayed flights and other unexpected annoyances. In times like those, it’s great to have one of your favourite books on hand to pass the time. Not only will you be able to occupy your mind, but reading something familiar is a great way to de-stress when all you want to do is pull your hair out. Telegraph has a great list of the best travel books of all time.
A Laptop and Notebook
You never know when inspiration might hit because something as simple as a cluster of graffiti in Paris can bring out your creative side. It’s always a good idea to be prepared with either a laptop or a notebook in case you want to record your thoughts and feelings about what you see. You can also take down any information you might need for later.
A Camera or iPhone
I never know when something is going to catch my eye or when I’ll see something worth photographing. That’s why I always make sure to have a camera with me. Smartphone cameras can give you photographs that are just as high-quality as the most professional cameras, making iPhones a great alternative for a traveller who wants less to carry.
According to one esthetician, the recirculated air on airplanes only encourages dehydration. When you enter different climates (or an airplane where the air tends to be incredibly dry), your skin can react in less than flattering ways. The best thing I can recommend is to always carry a small tube of moisturizer.
A Light Snack
You never know when you’re going to be stranded in an unfamiliar location. With that being said, having something nourishing in your bag to snack on when you get hungry is an easy way to keep your blood sugar at the right level and avoid ill-timed headaches. Visit BuiltLean for some tips on how to eat healthy while travelling.
