Ready for fall reading prize pack giveaway

I love a good book, as evidenced by two of my most recent posts. I love bringing attention to an author, skilled at capturing someone’s imagination, who has a unique way of bringing their unique worlds and characters to life. I also love connecting with the people who read my blog and those of you who follow me on social media. One of the best ways to do that? A fall reading prize pack giveaway.

My friends at BookSparks are generously offering up an incredible prize pack – the ultimate “ready for fall” reading bundle – for one lucky winner. The prize pack includes four special books – The Goddesses by Swan Huntley, Fitness Junkie by Lucy Sykes and Jo Piazza, Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty, and Emma in the Night by Wendy Walker – and a BookSparks tote bag (for carrying your collection of great reads, of course) and t-shirt.

A Good Book

Any seasoned traveller is used to long lines, delayed flights and other unexpected annoyances. In times like those, it’s great to have one of your favourite books on hand to pass the time. Not only will you be able to occupy your mind, but reading something familiar is a great way to de-stress when all you want to do is pull your hair out. Telegraph has a great list of the best travel books of all time.

A Laptop and Notebook

You never know when inspiration might hit because something as simple as a cluster of graffiti in Paris can bring out your creative side. It’s always a good idea to be prepared with either a laptop or a notebook in case you want to record your thoughts and feelings about what you see. You can also take down any information you might need for later.

A Camera or iPhone

I never know when something is going to catch my eye or when I’ll see something worth photographing. That’s why I always make sure to have a camera with me. Smartphone cameras can give you photographs that are just as high-quality as the most professional cameras, making iPhones a great alternative for a traveller who wants less to carry.

Moisturizer

According to one esthetician, the recirculated air on airplanes only encourages dehydration. When you enter different climates (or an airplane where the air tends to be incredibly dry), your skin can react in less than flattering ways. The best thing I can recommend is to always carry a small tube of moisturizer.

A Light Snack

You never know when you’re going to be stranded in an unfamiliar location. With that being said, having something nourishing in your bag to snack on when you get hungry is an easy way to keep your blood sugar at the right level and avoid ill-timed headaches. Visit BuiltLean for some tips on how to eat healthy while travelling.
