5 websites that give bloggers FREE professional photography

As a blogger, there’s no greater asset than quality photography. Sure, we’d all love to own the latest Canon camera, outfitted with the most expensive equipment and fill our blogs and Instagram accounts with gorgeous photos, but let’s be real – that isn’t an option for all of us. So, in lieu of those advantages, there are websites we can turn to that provide bloggers like you and I with free, professional photography that we can use almost entirely how we want.

Of course, there’s no substitution for learning to take photographs on your own, and I’m a firm believer in starting from the bottom and learning your way through the maze. But, in the mean time, if you’re struggling and dying for a colourful flat lay, it’s nice to know you have somewhere to turn, right?

Unsplash

5 websites that give bloggers FREE professional photography
Unsplash is a massive online resource of high-quality, professional photographs from photographers all over the world. You can find a photo to go with just about any blog topic. The best part is that all the photos are licensed under Creative Commons Zero, meaning you can pretty much do anything you want with the images, which includes using them for commercial projects, without providing any credit.

Pexels

Pexels is a lot like Unsplash in that it gives bloggers access to over 25,000 free photographs, also licensed under Creative Commons Zero. What’s different about Pexels is that you also have the option to choose from free stock videos, from slicing a green lime to a lighted Christmas tree. With the boom in demand for video content, a resource like this is invaluable.

Wonderfelle

Wonderfelle gives bloggers, business owners, and social media enthusiasts access to 10 free stock photographs, just for signing up for her e-mail newsletter. You’ll then get even more free photos e-mailed to you each month. The photos are licensed to allow you to use them for your website, blog, or social media, but are not permitted to be used for commercial purposes. However, no credit is required.

Ivory Mix

If you’re obsessed with bright, bold colours like I am, you’re going to fall in deep with Ivory Mix. Sign-up for their e-mailing mailing list and get access to the most amazing photographs, including my personal obsession – flat lays. When you sign-up, you’re also given access to their archive of free photos from previous months.

Oh Tilly

Each month, Oh Tilly gives away three gorgeous stock photographs to those who’ve signed up for their e-mail newsletter. While you can’t use them for commercial purposes, you are allowed to edit and share them anywhere online.

Let’s hang out on Instagram!

  • This is cool post
    You missed 1
Pixabay has more 900k free high quality picture

    • I purposely didn’t include Pixabay because while it does have a ton of photos, I feel like it’s Shutterstock’s cheap brother and the quality and aesthetic of its photos are far below what you can get on places like Unsplash etc.
